N/Korea Missile Tests Didn ' t Fail , US Military reveals in latest Report

Despite earlier report that the three short range missiles fired by North Korea were not "successful" , latest report by the US Military suggest that the missile launch was successful.

According to Seoul's joint Chiefs of Staff, the projectiles flew for more than 155 miles.

The US military reported shortly after the launch that the three missile launched by the pariah state were a total failure as two of the missiles "failed in flight" and the third one blew up immediately after firing.

Pyongyang missile development has increased tension in the region but the tension reached a fever pitch after they successfully flight tested an intercontinental ballistic missiles in July, which was believe to give North Korea the ability to strike mainland America if it so desire.

The latest launch came five days after US and South Korean forces began an annual military exercises that North Korea percieve to be a rehearsal for war, and this has further heighten tension in the region.

According to US Pacific command, this latest test did not pose a threat to North America or Military facilities on the US territory of Guam or to South Korea.

Pyongyang and Washington earlier this month got into an awkward situation with each other with the North threatening to administer some doses of their missiles to teach US a bitter lesson by plummeting US territory of Guam.

US president, Donald Trump however warned North Korea that he would unleash "fire and fury" if North Korea continues its threat and further dished out some sanctions on them and companies and individuals trading with them.

South Korea in response to the North's expanding nuclear and missile program are making bold moves to strengthen its own military and improve its capabilities.

Apart from additional US anti-missile defense system they are deploying, they are also developing a missile of their own, the "Hyunmoo-2" with a range of about 500 miles. Though the missile is still at the development stage, but when finally ready, it will be a key component to the South's "Kill Chain" preemptive strike capability which the South is pursuing to cope with the North's expanding nuclear and missile threat.
