A trainer aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force has crashed at the permanent site of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna.
According to a statement by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), the aircraft, an Air Beetle, crashed in Kaduna on Thursday, August 24 during a mission and the only pilot on board the aircraft, one of the NAF’s experienced instructor pilots, died following the crash.
Nigerian Air Force (NAF) are yet to ascertain the cause of the accident but the chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Sadiq Abubakar, has ordered the constitution of a board of inquiry to determine the immediate and remote causes of the crash.
The Chief of Air Staff in his statement also commemorate with the relatives of the Pilot who lost his life in the crash.
