The T-14 is a new generation tank of the Russian military manufactured by Uralvagonzavod. It is a complete departure from previous Soviet and Russian tanks which care more about ruggedity,simplicity and mobility and care less about crew survivability. It boast a number of advance features that has never been seen or implemented in any operational tank anywhere else in the world.
What drew western analyst gaze to the armata tank are its new revolutionary features which made some to even label it "The revolutionary tank of a new generation". All crew (3) in the new Armata tank are seated side by side in a well protected hull which is a first of its kind in a tank. The crew compartment is physically separated from the ammunition as it has a completely unmanned turret. Its armor is the 44s-sv-Sh. 900mm vs APFSDS and 1400 vs HEAT internal armored capsule with more than 900mm RHA equivalent. Its main armament is the 125mm(4.92in) Smoothbore 2A82-1m tank Cannon with 45 rounds (32 of them in autoloader) and its secondary armor includes the 12.7mm(0.50in)kord machine gun(6P49) and the 7.62mm(0.30in)PKTM machine gun(6P7K). This tank also has Hunter killer capability.
Its engine is yet clear and popularly known but it is rumored to be a diesel engine that produces between 1,500hp to 2,000 hp. The operational range of the T-14 Armata tank is 500km(310mi) and it can speed up to 80km/h (50mph)-90km/h(56mph).
This tank is seriously automated,some analyst even claim that with a few upgrade this tank will be able to function normally without any direct input from human.
