Terrorism and Militancy in Nigeria are the two greatest security challenges Nigeria has been facing over the years. This two menace has taken a lot from Nigeria Materially, Financially and Psychologically and has ridiculed the name of Nigeria Internationally as some Countries now see Nigeria as a Terrorist Country. Recently, it became obvious that Terrorism and Militancy in Nigeria are shedding their old cloak and taking on a new one.
The Pattern of this menace which has been rampaging Nigeria seems to be transforming as their are signs that the Terrorist and the Militants are turning against themselves as the Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders boldly declared last week that they will launch reprisal attack on Muslims if the terrorist dare attack Churches and Christians like their controversial new leader Murab Al-Barnawi threatened. According to the militant group spokemen W.O.I Iwnebi, ''If they try it in the North or any part of Nigeria, we the Niger Delta youth will not see any Muslim or Mosque in the Niger Delta.
Everybody love to see their enemies turn against themselves but the one in question when critical examined may have serious implications. It can give this two groups something they've never really been able to attract; 'Public Sympathy', and this may divide the population of Nigeria between the two groups. The Christians seeing the Militant as their Messiah, fighting for the integrity of Christians and the Muslims taking the side of Boko Haram.
This also may be the catalyst that will ultimately split the country between the Southern and the Northern divide as it is a popular belief in Nigeria that the North is the Muslim side of Nigeria and the South is seen as the Christian side of Nigeria.
For those who may think that this may finally be the end for this Terrorist and Militant as a face-off between the two may just be what will diminish their strength, News Flash, 'It ain't gonna happen'. Instead, its going to be something of a proxy war. Both parties are not going to draw arms against eachother but instead, they are going to count scores on the people; Translation, they have nothing to lose but the people have everything to lose.
Finally, this budding situation can make the people lose confidence in the government as a decision which is seen as bias which favor a group to the detriment of the other may draw the aggrieved set to the group they feel is fighting for their cause and further strengthen their Public support.

Whichever way this goes, If this new Waters is not tactically navigated by the government, it may spell doom. But if the most dreaded finally happens, which side are you going to fall on, 'A TERRORIST OR A MILITANT?'.
