There was massive protest on Friday in the streets of major muslim countries against U.S President Donald Trump recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Isreal.
Donald Trump earlier this week recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Isreal. This recognition was however condemned by majority of the middle eastern states including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Egypt.
This new development has unsettled thousands of Palestinian residents of the West Banks, the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem who took to the street to protest and this led to bloody clashes between them and Isreali Security Forces.
The Palestinian protest according to multiple online sources was led by Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement, and he declared Friday "a day of rage" and called for a new intifada.
In anticipation of this move by the Palestinians, Israel bolstered its Police and Military presence in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
According to Sputnik, Clashes between protesters and Israeli troops at a ckeckpoint in the West Bank City of Ramallah on December 8, 2017 resulted in the death of 1 person and over 200 people injured.
There was also protest in the capital city of Afghanistan, Kabul, Amman the capital of Jordan and also in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Thousands of protester also took to the street in Cario in Egypt and Istanbul the capital city of Turkey burning U.S flags and chanting "down to America and Israel".
