50 GAZ Tigr Special armoured Vehicles may be going to Egyptian Interior Ministry from Russia in a deal that was confirmed by Military Industrial Company's C.E.O, Alexander Krasovitsky in an interview with TASS at the Army-2017 international Military Technical Forum.
"Yes, work is underway... we will probably sign a contract concerning the 50 vehicles... he said.
The GAV Tigr Special Armoured Vehicle entered service with in Russia in 2005. The Vehicle which enjoys a good export prospect is a multi-role, all-terrain, light special armoured vehicle designed by Police and Defence Forces in Russia.
The GAZ Tigr (Russian for Tiger) is simple in technology and design with a payload capacity of 1,500kg. It is available in various body styles, armoured, Cargo and can be tailored to suit diverse mission requirement.
Their are Military variants like, the GAZ-2330, the Civilian variant, the GAZ-233001, and the Police and defence agencies variants which include the popular GAZ-233036 SPM-2 with a NATO STANAG 4569 level 2 ballistic protection and the GAZ-233034.
