Five operatives of State Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) may have landed themselves in hot soup after a petition written by man they allegedly brutalize, Alhaji Fasasi Kasali Ojo. The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG zone 2 after getting the petition ordered an immediate investigation over the allegations.
The Officers led by one Alhaji Alliu and Alfa invaded his business premises on the 15th of May,2017 at about 11:30am shooting sporadically. The men were said to have entered into his office, gave him a beating of his life before bundling him into the booth of their salon car and drove off.
Alhaji Fasasi said he was kept in the booth for more than 5 hours and he was only let out of the booth at their station at Ikeja and he wasn't released until almost half a Million naira was paid by his relations.
Alhaji Fasasi who is a well known bike dealer said the SARS operatives accused him of being a supplier of Arms and Bikes to robbers and they attempted to link him to the robbery action that claimed the life of two ADCs of a governor.
Alhaji Fasasi said after #200,000 was collected from him, their leader released him and ordered him to return to SARS on friday,19th of May 2017. But on his return to the station on the said date, Alhaji Aliu, the leader of the team simply asked him to go since the missing gun has been found.
He said, not even one of the operatives apologise for his ill treatments and assault on him neither was the money extorted from him refunded, that was why he is seeking for justice through a petition to AIG zone 2, Lagos, seeking official intervention.
