CLASSIKOLIC LIST OF THE TOP 5 MOST SIGNIFICANT EVENT IN 2015(Akungba Series)

   

 Just few hours to the conclusion of year 2015, a year filled with sweet and sore moments. Some events and happenings which took place this year in AAUA will quickly be forgotten and some will forever be remembered. This is an attempt to narrow down all what was witnessed in AAUA in year 2015 to the ones that made the greatest rave and may set the pace or decide the pattern of the event that will be witnessed next year.

1) THE INTRODUCTION OF FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE : The Introduction of Faculty of                    Agriculture last session  was a landmark achievement in AAUA. This is an implication of the citadel of learning's growing capacity and strength.

2) THE APPOINTMENT OF PROF IGBEKELE AJIBEFUN AS THE NEW VICE CHANCELLOR:   Before Prof. Igbeleke Ajibefun was appointed as the New Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University  Akungba, he was the Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo (RUGIPO) which is a state polytechnic. Prof. Igbeleke Ajibefun is a First Class Honours Graduate of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). AAUA was handed over from a competent hand to another competent hand in 2015.

3) THE INTRODUCTION OF ELECTRONIC VOTING IN AAUA : In 2015 AAUA became the first higher Institution to make use of an online platform to decide the representatives of the student in the next academic session. Though waves of criticism followed the conduct and result of the Election but notwithstanding it was a milestone achievement.

4)  THE BAN OF THE PARA MILITARY ON CAMPUS : This was as a result of the killing of a 400 level student popularly known as Mafuge by the immediate past leader of the cadet known as Iron Body on the 4th of December. The ban may give way for the free reign of Cult activities in AAUA or something for critical.

 5) CHICKEN REPUBLIC IN AKUNGBA :  The opening of the fast Food outlet was a big news for all the students of AAUA as it was the first big name franchise to be brought to Akungba community which house the AAUA. It offers AAUA social life a new life and the ladies a new song.
